Far-infrared film is enclosed in a four-layer PVC mat, with output adjusted by a dial rather than a probe-based temperature setpoint. That distinction matters when comparing systems: changing a power setting is not the same as automatically maintaining a measured temperature in the seed-starting medium. Consider the pair when two tray positions need added warmth in a cool indoor setup. Measure conditions where the seeds are growing and adjust the arrangement to the crop, room, and supplied instructions.
