Privacy Information
How Garden Gear Atlas handles information when you browse, compare products and save garden projects.
Last updated September 14, 2026.
Calculators, searches and comparison links
Calculator arithmetic and on-page search filters run in your browser. Equipment and plant selections can also appear in comparison page URLs. Opening or submitting those URLs sends the selected item identifiers to the site, and the URLs may remain in your browser history or in a link you share.
Unsaved garden projects
Unsaved garden-project drafts can remain temporarily in browser memory while you move between pages during the same visit. This draft memory is not a saved account project and does not provide recovery after a full page reload or closing the page. Save a project if you want to keep it. The planner does not use localStorage or sessionStorage for these drafts.
Sign-in and saved projects
Saving and managing garden projects requires ChatGPT sign-in. The site receives your ChatGPT user ID and email address through the hosting platform's authentication, and may receive your full name. The project database associates saved projects with your user ID; it has no separate fields for your email address or name.
When you save a garden project, the site stores its title, measurements, growing choices, notes, checklist, sharing setting, revision and creation and update times. You can edit or delete saved projects from My garden projects. Avoid entering sensitive personal information in project titles or notes.
Sharing garden projects
Saved projects are private by default. When you turn on sharing, people with the project link can read the saved version, including its title, measurements, choices, notes and checklist, subject to any site access restrictions. Unsaved changes are not shared. Turning sharing off or deleting the saved project stops access through that link. A person who already copied the content can retain their copy.
Hosting
The site uses hosting and authentication services to deliver pages, protect access and support saved projects. Those services may process technical request information, including IP addresses and browser information. A description of the project's database fields does not describe all information processed by those services.
External destinations
External source links and Amazon links take you to another organization's service. That service's privacy practices and cookies apply there. Amazon links include an affiliate identifier used to attribute qualifying purchases to this publication.
Analytics and advertising
The application does not include third-party visitor analytics scripts or advertising pixels. Hosting and authentication services may separately process technical information needed to operate and protect the site.
