Match Drip Tubing and Fittings by Actual Dimensions
Read inside and outside diameters, distinguish barbs from compression fittings, and resolve thread and adapter gaps before assembling drip parts.

ET25-50S2 is Rain Bird's 50-foot coil of quarter-inch emitter tubing with built-in 0.8 GPH outlets at 12-inch intervals. Unlike blank distribution tubing, it applies water along the run without adding a separate dripper at every watering point. The small diameter and flexible layout suit narrow planted areas where the fixed spacing makes sense. Rain Bird lists a 0.25-inch outside diameter, 0.17-inch inside diameter and above-ground installation. Use those measurements when choosing barbed fittings rather than treating all small tubing as interchangeable. The coil length is the amount supplied, not permission to build an unlimited continuous zone or a guarantee that every layout will water uniformly. Plan pressure, filtration, run lengths and total demand using the system instructions, then inspect actual wetting in the growing medium. Fixed spacing is convenient in a regular planting, but less adaptable than separate emitters for scattered containers.

Fixed 12-inch outlet spacing may not match irregularly spaced pots or root zones.
The 50-foot package length is not a universal hydraulic design limit.
Requires a compatible pressurized system; manufacturer lists above-ground use.
