The EC50 end closure is a small but useful maintenance component for a half-inch drip-tubing run. Rain Bird supplies this listing as a two-pack and describes it for both half-inch distribution tubing and half-inch emitter tubing. Its role is to close the end while allowing the line to be opened for flushing or draining; the manufacturer also notes that closure does not require cutting away the tubing, preserving the option of later extension. Choose it when a removable line end fits the maintenance plan, not as a substitute for the correct tubing connection elsewhere in the zone.
